Maker’s Dozen is set to hold a distinct collection of 12 retailers each with big personality – from dessert and pastry creators to craft beer aficionados and fusion food specialists. It will be a place for food lovers to come together, to experience quality yet casual food in an exceptionally designed space that transforms from day to night.
From morning coffee and brunch through to late night snacks, long weekend lunches and grab-and-go takeaway, Maker’s Dozen will be welcoming guests seven days a week.
The twelve hotly anticipated retailers will be announced in two parts.
The first six include a Japanese pasta collaboration from Hamish Ingham and Rebecca Lines (Banksii) and from Kerby Craig (Ume); Andy Bowdy’s famous cake, desserts and pastries at Saga; quirky bar, Bucket Boys and bottle shop, Bucket Boys; sleek bakery, Sonoma; and Vietnamese and Japanese fusion vendor, Mr. Bao Buns.
With exceptional design by Anthony Gill Architects celebrating a Japanese influence through cool colourings, clean lines and natural materials, an extremely impressive, permanent hanging art installation by renowned artist Nike Savvas, and approximately 350 seat capacity, Maker’s Dozen has something for everyone.
Set to open in mid-2019, it is located within minutes walk from Central Station via The Goods Line, nestled between Chinatown, Darling Harbour and Ultimo.
